PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE: The new conference center will stand on 3.9 acres, next to the IKEA store off Interstate 94 and less than 5 miles from General Mitchell International Airport. The venue is meant to be ideal for weddings, meetings, conferences and other events. It has a pre-function area, a grand ballroom that can be divided into four smaller rooms, private board and meeting rooms, a patio, and a restaurant and bar. A 121-room Homewood Suites by Hilton stands next door.
