Beloit to reconstruct fire station with money from Neighborhood Investment Fund

Beloit will fund reconstruction of an aging fire station with $7.6 million from the Neighborhood Investment Fund, Gov. Tony Evers’ administration has announced.

The money comes from $230 million the governor sent to the Neighborhood Investment Fund, the Wisconsin Department of Administration said in a statement. Rock County has received more than $145 million for relief and recovery after the pandemic.

Beloit will reconstruct an aging fire station for public safety purposes and to support full-time staff at both fire stations serving the community, officials said.
