Miron will lead construction for FPC Live venue in Milwaukee

A Neenah-based construction company will serve as the construction manager for a venue complex project in downtown Milwaukee, the construction company announced on Monday. 

Miron Construction will serve as the construction manager for two FPC Live music venues at the site of the former Bradley Center at 1001 North Vel R. Phillips Ave., the construction company said. JCP Construction, a minority-owned Milwaukee firm, will partner with Miron. 

FPC Live, partly owned by Live Nation, introduced plans in May to build two concert venues with an 800 capacity and another with a 4,000 capacity respectively, the company said. Miron also built The Sylvee, a 2,500-capacity venue owned by FPC Live in Madison. 

The project is set to break ground this fall and is expected to be complete in early 2024, the company said. Eppstein Uhen Architects will help design the new building. 

The City Plan Commission will meet Monday afternoon to discuss an ordinance to change the zoning from General Planned Development to Detailed Planned Development at the old Bradley Center site, city officials said. The new zoning would be known as Block 3 – Arena Master Plan, Phase 1. A public hearing session will be held before the meeting, city officials said.

Several institutions and music venues around Milwaukee, including neighboring Turner Hall, have expressed concern over revenue, monopolistic practices and safety after the project was announced in May.
