A Milwaukee-based engineering firm has moved its Green Bay office to the city’s downtown district, the company announced on Monday.
GRAEF’s Green Bay location will occupy 118 S. Adams St., also known as the Adams Street Garage, company officials said in a statement. The 5,700-square-foot second floor office will house 24 employees.
“We are thrilled to be relocating our operations in the Northeast Wisconsin market to the heart of the City of Green Bay,” GRAEF Green Bay Office Leader Pat Skalecki said in a statement. “The ongoing revitalization of downtown Green Bay was an obvious draw for our firm and our staff. Our new office space will provide us with a technologically current and updated collaborative space, while holding onto the character that the Adams Street Garage provides.”
The new office will include exposed original brick, high ceilings and large windows for natural light, company officials said. Before the move, GRAEF’s Green Bay office was housed in the Baeten Farms Executive Office Park for nearly 30 years.
Built in 1924, the Adams Street Garage served as an automobile showroom, records from the Wisconsin Historical Society show. Building owners primarily used the showroom for Ford cars at first, but went on to use the space for indoor golf practice, a carpeting store and a furniture store.
