Woman-Owned Businesses of the Year –
Sara Gulotta, Postorino Construction Finishes
Sara Gulotta always takes time to meet with her employees, no matter the demands of her job.
Gulotta is president of Postorino Construction Finishes. She joined the company in December 2019 as director of operations after spending more than two decades in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry. She became president after the sudden passing of Postorino’s owner, Randy Copenharve, in 2020.
“Sara kept everyone working in his absence,” said her colleague, Vin Venegas. “The company could have closed, but Sara didn’t want to let all those employees and their families down. She decided to purchase the company. Since then, the team has faced many challenges, but she continues to rise above and lead the team in a positive direction.
“Sara is the most kind, caring leader I have had in this industry,” Venegas added.
Postorino was founded by Ernest Postorino in 1946 and has grown to become one of the premier painting and acoustical ceiling contractors in southeast Wisconsin. In 2018, Copenharve, a veteran of construction facility development, purchased Postorino with the promise of keeping the existing core values that made the company successful.
The company’s field staff of union-trained, experienced employees provides top-notch service and craftsmanship across a variety of disciplines, including commercial painting, acoustical ceiling tile and drywall and framing. Some of the communities served by Postorino include Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Milwaukee, Waukesha and Ozaukee counties.
The company, which is disadvantaged business enterprise/women owned business certified, serves a wide range of commercial clients, including industrial complexes, big box warehouses, hospitals and retail spaces, as well as hospitality centers.
Postorino Construction Finishes offers services to residential clients, such as painting, deck maintenance, drywall repair and pressure washing.
