New York-based building manager Group RMC plans to perform a multi-million-dollar renovation to the Chase Tower on Milwaukee’s riverfront later in 2023.
Plans included a new fitness center, a conference room, luxury tenant lounges and a renovated lobby at the tower on 111 E. Wisconsin Avenue, building plans showed. The tower has more than 480,000 square feet of space and is 22 stories tall, with more than 197,000 square feet available.
“Under new ownership since 2022, Chase Tower is in the midst of a multi-million dollar renovation that will enhance the tenant experience and bring a refreshed aesthetic to this iconic Milwaukee building,” the official Chase Tower website said. Renovations are meant to bring upgraded tenant space and market lending lease amenities, the plans showed.
Milwaukee-based EUA will provide architectural services and Janesville-based general contractor J.P. Cullen will provide construction services. Matt Fahey, Jenna Maguire and Dan Wroblewski of Colliers are the listed leasing agents.
An affiliate of Group RMC bought Chase Tower for $34.25 million in November of 2021, The Associated Press reported. Before that, an affiliate of Michigan-based Farbman Group sold the building after buying it for $30.5 million in 2016.
The tower, built in 1962, was first known as Marine Plaza and served as Marine Bank’s headquarters before it merged with Bank One in the 1980s, the AP reported. Chase Bank purchased the tower in 2004.
