C-Level Awards 2026: Jalin Phelps, VP of Field Operations, JCP Construction

Jalin Phelps is a partner and vice president of field operations at JCP Construction, where he plays a central role in driving the company’s growth by planning, directing and coordinating field operations. Drawing on extensive experience as a carpenter across residential, multi-family and commercial projects, Phelps brings broad construction knowledge to nearly every aspect of the business.

In his current role, Phelps oversees all phases of JCP’s project portfolio, including estimating, preparing submittals, reviewing shop drawings and scheduling subcontractors. He is responsible for assessing and evaluating field crews, managing compliance requirements and maintaining quality standards throughout construction. Phelps establishes and communicates field goals and deadlines, manages budgets and coordinates materials to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to client satisfaction.

Beyond his work at JCP Construction, Phelps serves as a member of the SE Wisconsin Carpentry Apprenticeship Advisory board, contributing to the development of the next generation of tradespeople in the region.

Phelps is a graduate of the Associates in Commercial Real Estate program and the U.S. Small Business Administration Emerging Leaders program, credentials that reflect his commitment to both professional development and business acumen.
