Matt Hunter launched his real estate career in 2003 and built an extensive track record across some of the industry’s most prominent firms before striking out on his own.
After his first firm was acquired by CBRE in 2006, Hunter joined Inland Companies as a partner and shareholder. Inland Companies later affiliated with Colliers. He then returned to CBRE, where he became a consistent top-five producer and earned the CBRE Wisconsin Deal of the Year Award in 2017 for the lease-up and sale of 411 E. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee. He advanced to vice president before joining JLL.
In 2024, Hunter founded Milwaukee-based Hunter Real Estate with a focus on serving local, privately owned companies. “By prioritizing local relationships, we have a deeper understanding of our clients current and future real estate needs,” the company says. “This gives us a unique opportunity to provide creative solutions to our clients.”
Hunter Real Estate is also committed to community involvement, supporting organizations including Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, the Rotary Club of Milwaukee, Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation and ACTS Housing.
Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
