Secretary-designee Craig Thompson has been appointed by Gov. Tony Evers as the Wisconsin Department of Transportation secretary. Previously, Thompson was the executive director of the Transportation Development Association of Wisconsin. He has more than 25 years of experience working with Wisconsin businesses, communities, legislators and units of government. Prior to leading TDA, he served as the legislative director for the Wisconsin Counties Association, managing legislative initiatives at the state and federal levels.
Jeff Gruhn, Director of Project Development, Mortenson
With more than 20 years of construction industry experience, Gruhn is the director of project development for Mortenson’s Wisconsin operations. His responsibilities include project acquisition, relationship management, overall delivery of preconstruction and construction phase services and business development activities. A cornerstone of his career has been the development of strong client relationships based on mutual respect and trust. Gruhn has a unique command of the Wisconsin construction market and has a proven track record of consistently delivering an outstanding customer experience. His strategic focus, collaborative leadership style and hands-on experience delivering multiple complex projects make him an expert in leading projects from the design phase through occupancy.
