Janie Ritter acknowledges she didn’t know a lot about safety when she took over as director of the Wisconsin Safety Council in January. But, she said her background in business administration has been an asset while learning the ropes. “It’s really about running a business,” Ritter said of her work on the council, which is a division of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Edgewood College in Madison. Ritter was an employee of WMC for 14 years before ascending to her new position.Read More »
