Ethan Duran covers construction and development in Wisconsin for The Daily Reporter. Originally from Milwaukee, he has worked with independent media in the city for several years and has bylines in The Shepherd Express and Milwaukee Magazine.

Panelist – Dan Burazin

Safety Director
Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee

Dan is the safety director with the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee for over 25 years. His previous work experience includes three years with a local general contractor as its operations manager in charge of Personnel, Equipment, and Safety, and 10 years with a Milwaukee-based steel fabricator as its plant manager. His education features several degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Building Construction from MSOE, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, also from MSOE, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.

In addition to his duties as Safety Director for the AGC, Dan has been teaching courses at MSOE in the Architectural Engineering / Construction Management Department for more than 20 years, as well as Marquette University in its Construction Management Department. He has also taught Safety Management courses for the national Associated General Contractors of America based in Arlington, Virginia.

Panelist – Don Moen

Human resources and Safety Director
Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin

Don is the human resources and safety director at the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin. Don and his team provide safety consultation services to ABC members, which includes regular site visits, and works closely with members to enhance job site safety. He has served ABC and its members for more than 25 years. He is also a former business owner and adjunct professor for Construction Safety Management at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
