Hunters in 2020 registered 188,712 white-tailed deer during the Wisconsin nine-day gun deer season, an increase of 16% from the previous year but 9% below the 10-year average, according to a recent report issued by the Department of Natural Resources.

The 2020 kill included 85,340 bucks (up 12% from 2019) and 103,372 antlerless deer (up 19%). Compared to last season, the 2020 harvest increased in each of the four management regions across the state.
