The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors’ Finance, Personnel and Audit Committee is expected to vote Thursday on whether to accept a $13 million offer from the state for 10 parcels of land.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is offering a total of $13,071,872 for the land, which it claims it needs in order to accommodate the reconstruction.

The county’s transportation director recommends approving the agreement, according to a memo sent to the board chair, but requests authorization to seek additional money for three of the parcels to compensate the county for lost parking space.
