Wisconsin officials consider waste-to-energy project (11:28 a.m. 11/1/09)

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — State environmental officials are considering plans for a new -to- project.

N.E.W. Organic Digestion LLC wants to build a plant near Denmark in Brown County. The plant will process industrial wastes that would mostly come from Green Bay Dressed Beef Packing Facility.

The project will include an anaerobic that would produce . The methane in turn would run a generator to produce electricity.

The Department of Natural Resources will take public comments on the plan through Nov. 11.
