Every fall as we prepare for our annual Newsmakers of the Year event, we take a look back and see which companies and individuals in Wisconsin’s construction industry had a significant impact on the building community. And we also pose that question to you, our readers, by soliciting nominations for our various categories.
After a challenging year for the construction industry, this year’s nomination process provided us with a fresh perspective on how those in the construction industry put themselves in a position to be a Newsmaker and what it takes to lead, teach, stand out, learn and find success. And in the midst of one of the toughest years our industry has faced, we are happy to report that there is success out there.
In the end, we selected 20 winners based on their achievements in the past year and how those actions affected their companies and the people or areas around them.
I’d like to give special thanks to our award sponsor, Building Advantage, for its continued support of our Newsmakers event. And thanks, also, to our green sponsor, WasteCap Resource Solutions Inc., for helping us select our four 2010 green winners.
It’s never an easy task to narrow the field down to our final list of winners, but I think you’ll agree that our 2010 class of Newsmakers of the Year are all outstanding candidates. Please join me in congratulating all of them for their achievements.
