BUILDING BLOCKS: Boutique hotel at SentryWorld

SIGNIFICANCE OF PROJECT: This is the latest project to take place as an overhaul of SentryWorld, Sentry Insurance’s golf course across the street from its headquarters in Stevens Point. The 18-hole course itself recently underwent renovation work starting in 2013.
The new hotel will stand just off the course’s 18th fairway. Also nearby will be the SentryWorld complex, which has event spaces for weddings and conferences.
The hotel itself will have suites and gathering spaces that can be used for weddings and corporate retreats. Local officials have said the project will help make up for the short of supply of hotel rooms in the Stevens Point area.
