Three Milwaukee Brewers players on Tuesday helped Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity kick off its build season by raising a wall for a future home. Milwaukee Habitat plans to build 32 new homes this year, all of which will be sold at affordable rates for first-time homebuyers.

Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff, pitcher DL Hall and infielder Joey Ortiz helped raise the first wall of one of the homes being constructed this year near Vel R. Phillips Avenue and W. Center Street. They were joined by media and officials from Milwaukee Habitat, the Brewers Community Foundation and Bader Philanthropies.

Milwaukee Habitat will complete homes in the Midtown, Harambee and Lindsay Heights neighborhoods this year. The organization has completed more than 700 homes since it started operations in 1984.
