A facility formerly belonging to a popular candy company was sold for $17.75 million in Pleasant Prairie, according to state records.
A warehouse and retail facility that belonged to Fairfield, California-based Jelly Belly Candy Co. was sold on Jan. 16 to Fargo, North Dakota-based 9th and Main LLC, The Barry Co. announced. The Barry Co. organized the deal for the 248,098-square-foot facility, located on a more than 46-acre parcel on 10100 Jelly Belly Lane.
Rust-Oleum and SMT Packaging are the facility tenants. They were procured by The Barry Co. after Jelly Belly moved its operations in 2020, real estate officials said.
“Strategically positioned in a high-growth corridor serving both the greater Chicago and greater Milwaukee markets, the property benefits from strong regional industrial demand, excellent transportation access and a deep labor pool,” officials said.
Kevin Barry and David Buckley represented the seller in the transaction and served as the sole brokers on the deal, officials added.
The property was previously owned by Vacaville, California-based Rowland Family Properties, Wisconsin Department of Revenue records showed.
