Alto Shaam’s 128,000-square-foot building expansion at its Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, global headquarters represents a landmark achievement in private construction, completed June 1, 2025, at a cost of $21 million. The project delivered a state-of-the-art Innovation Center, fully equipped research and development laboratories, expanded warehousing and shipping facilities, and new office and collaboration spaces designed to support long-term operational and manufacturing growth.

The expansion presented significant challenges, including supply chain pressures, schedule constraints and structural complexities. COVID-19 had delayed the project’s initial plans, but Alto Shaam revived and expanded the initiative, ultimately delivering a modern, future-focused facility. Phased construction planning, full-time onsite safety supervision and bi-weekly third-party SiteGuard Safety inspections kept operations running safely throughout all phases.

The project incorporated superflat floor tolerances for high-precision pallet storage, advanced material handling systems, cutting-edge test bays and digital manufacturing enhancements — elements rarely combined in manufacturing expansions of this scale.

The outcome strengthens Alto Shaam’s position as a major employer in Menomonee Falls and supports the company’s reach into more than 100 countries worldwide. Energy-efficient lighting, mechanical systems and improved workplace ergonomics further enhance the facility’s long-term value. Moore Construction Services, MC Group, Excel Engineering and the City of Menomonee Falls were critical partners in delivering the project.
