A Milwaukee cabinet maker will upscale its space and move into the home of a former woodwork shop in Butler.

MKE Cabinetry bought the 22,500-square-foot industrial building at 13000 W. Custer Ave., Butler, on Jan. 11. The location previously belonged to Precision Woodworks; commercial real estate company The Barry Co. brokered the deal.

The cabinet maker bought its current location in 2019, but the bigger location will let them triple the size of their business and roll in high-tech equipment, owner Matt Kowalske said.

“We bought our existing cabinet shop in 2019,” Kowalske said. “We purchased new equipment and extensively remodeled the building because we thought we would never outgrow it. This new building allows us to triple the size of our business and utilize new & larger high-tech equipment, which was also purchased.”
