The city of Manitowoc is seeking reimbursement from the company that took over the former Mirro Company for nearly $6 million in environmental cleanup and redevelopment costs.
Former Mirro site will have new apartments in Manitowoc
Work on a 59-unit apartment complex on the former Mirro site in downtown Manitowoc is expected to begin in mid-summer.
BUILDING BLOCKS: River North Apartments
The project is in Manitowoc’s River Point District, on the former site of the Canadian National Railyard. River Point is an extension of Manitowoc’s historic downtown, connecting to nearby shops, restaurants, museums, breweries, trails and more. Because of its spot on a peninsula, nearly every apartment at River North will have panoramic views of Lake Michigan or the Manitowoc River.
