Faith hires Tischer as talent acquisition manager

has recently hired Elizabeth Tischer as a field talent acquisition manager at its headquarters in Menasha.

Tischer oversees all field recruitment strategies, programs and procedures, and is responsible for leading a team of recruiters, establishing and maintaining relationships with regional workforce managers and operational leaders, and staying on top of trends, legislation and best practices within the industry.

Tischer previously owned and operated Duet Recruiting, where she recruited all levels within the pulp and paper industry throughout North America, focusing on high-quality delivery and consultancy to both candidates and the business.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Stout, with a focus on retail merchandising and management.

Faith Technologies wins workplace wellness award

Faith Technologies recently received a well workplace award from the Wellness Council of America.

Achieving gold status with WELCOA means Faith has been recognized for its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees, as measured by WELCOA’s seven benchmarks to a result-oriented well workplace. Gold level status recognizes companies that have successfully built comprehensive worksite wellness initiatives and are demonstrating concrete results.

The Barry Co. won the “Industrial Deal of the Year” award at the 2018 Commercial Association of Realtors of Wisconsin Deal of the Year Awards for its involvement in Blast Cleaning Technologies' lease of 127,000 square feet in the former Allis Chalmers facility at 6682 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis.

The Barry Co., a commercial real estate company headquartered in downtown Milwaukee, has won the “Industrial Deal of the Year” award and was runner-up for the “Development Deal of the Year” award, which were presented at the 2018 Commercial Association of Realtors of Wisconsin Deal of the Year Awards and Annual Meeting at the Grain Exchange in downtown Milwaukee.

The event honored 2018’s most notable professionals and transactions in southeast Wisconsin commercial real estate.

David Buckley, Kevin Barry, Kurt Van Dyke and Jim Barry III won the Industrial Deal of the Year award for their involvement in Blast Cleaning Technologies’ lease of 127,000 square feet in the former Allis Chalmers facility at 6682 W. Greenfield Ave., West Allis.

The transaction was one of the largest industrial lease deals in Wisconsin in 2018 and included economic incentives and loan programs, as well as a tenant investment of more then $2 million to upgrade the older industrial space to modern standards.

David Barry and Kevin Barry were runners-up for the Development Deal of the Year award for selling the 3.1-acre former Saint Francis Borgia school and rectory site in Cedarburg to HSI Arrabelle LLC.

The site will be developed into a $16 million residential campus, featuring three-story apartment buildings and two-story townhomes.

Since the inception of the Deal of the Year award by CARW, The Barry Co. has won 17 times.
