Milwaukee condo plans move forward since 2016

A condominium project is moving forward after being in planning for years.

-based Renner Architects are planning a condo complex with 13 three-story townhomes at 610 E. Summerfest Place in the city’s Historic Third Ward. The first iteration of the project was introduced in 2016.

The firm is seeking a variance from the Board of Zoning Appeals to build a dwelling with overhead doors under the minimum required glazing and setback, according to an agenda. currently owns the parcel it wants to build on.

Renner Architects officials didn’t immediately respond to request for comment.

The project will be located next to the ongoing 261-unit Evoni Apartments development, which is being built by Pewaukee-based VJS Construction Services. That project, at 615 E. Corcoran St., is led by Kaeding Development Group.

Renner Architects led several notable projects along the Milwaukee River, including Hansen’s Landing, 541 E. Erie St. and Harbor Front, 601 E. Erie St.
