Rising Young Professional of the Year – Zach Barrow – Greenfire Management Services

Zach Barrow began his professional journey as an intern at Greenfire while studying at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, spending two years gaining hands-on experience with project teams and observing daily on-site operations.

After graduating, he joined Greenfire full-time as a project engineer and quickly became integral to major developments such as the Potawatomi Casino | Hotel project. His work included Project First Strike, which encompassed gaming-area renovations and the development of multiple dining venues such as Rock & Brews, Cream City Coffee and a food court.

He subsequently contributed to Project Champions, helping execute the build-out of the country’s largest retail sportsbook under demanding timelines and high client expectations.

These experiences strengthened his expertise in project phasing, expectation management and procedural adherence, leading to his promotion to assistant project manager. In this role, he manages commercial retail buildings and tenant build-outs while demonstrating adaptability and professionalism in high-pressure environments.

Beyond project work, Barrow, who has built a six-year career marked by steady advancement and notable contributions to high-profile construction projects, plays a key role in Greenfire’s recruiting efforts, participating in career fairs and engaging with students, helping establish the company as a leading recruiter at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
