Mortenson promotes team members
Mortenson Construction recently announced the promotions of Emily Ballweg, Erin Bertocchi, Kevin DePass, Chris Guido, Josh Halvorsen, Ryan Hornsey, Tyler Johnson, Brett Kash, Blake Lawson, Tess Massaroni, Ryan Olsen, Mark Peterson, Andrew Roensch, Julie Ropel, Josh Rudolph, Laura Rudolph, Mark Schulz, Bridget Slack, Brad Tennie, Erin Umhoefer and Kathleen Vignali.
In addition, Greg Werner has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of Mortenson’s Chicago office.
Werner has led more than $2.6 billion in projects since opening the Chicago office 16 years ago.
Werner joined Mortenson in 1990 as a field engineer and was promoted several times throughout the years, culminating in his appointment as general manager of the company’s Chicago office in January 2000.
He holds a bachelor of science in construction management and administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

AG Architecture adds Lieu, Doerner
Wauwatosa-based AG Architecture has added Mike Lieu and Chris Doerner to its team.
Lieu’s electrical expertise broadens the focus of the AG Engineering team.
In addition to supporting the AG team’s design and construction process, Doerner is currently completing the UW-Milwaukee Master of Architecture program.
Briggs & Stratton names Frank as VP of commercial engine sales
Briggs & Stratton Corp. has appointed David Frank as vice president of commercial engine sales.
In his new position, Frank’s primary focus will include strategic planning, account sales and management, and establishing new partnerships with rental centers and OEMs. Frank will oversee the commercial engine sales division and develop relationships with new and existing customers. In addition, he will be in charge of establishing new partnerships with OEMs, maintaining current relationships and managing the sales team.
Most recently, he served as the vice president of sales and marketing for the Subaru Industrial Power Products division. Frank administered all engine, generator and pump sales, as well as new product development.
Somerville Architects and Engineers announces promotions
Green Bay architecture and engineering firm Somerville Inc. has promoted Matt Schachtner to executive vice president/principal project architect.
Jay Vincent has been promoted to Somerville’s Executive Committee as director of operations/principal project manager.
Sara Kvitek has been promoted to Somerville’s Board of Directors.
Timothy Bostedt and Adam Drefcinski have each been promoted to project manager.
Heather Nohr has been promoted to director of marketing and branding.
Gallagher elected vice president of County Treasurers’ Association
Dane County Treasurer Adam Gallagher is the new vice president of the Wisconsin County Treasurers’ Association. Gallagher was nominated and unanimously elected by his peers at the WCTA 2016 June Seminar.
Working with the WCTA, Gallagher has served on the Legislative Committee and has advocated for passage of both state and local legislation to improve delivery of services and reduce operating costs of the County Treasurer’s Office.
CORRE names Meyer as director of transportation services
Madison-based CORRE Inc. has named Kevin Meyer as its director of transportation services. In this role, he will provide oversight and guidance on all of the firm’s transportation projects and initiatives while continuing to serve CORRE’s northern Wisconsin clients.
Meyer joined CORRE in 2012 to open and manage the firm’s Eau Claire office. He has more than 16 years of civil engineering experience with expertise in transportation design, construction oversight and the Wisconsin project development process.
He holds a bachelor’s in civil engineering from UW-Platteville and lives in Elk Mound.
BSI is Wisconsin’s first INSTALL Certified Contractor
Building Service Inc. is an INSTALL warranty contractor, making BSI Wisconsin’s first INSTALL Certified Contractor in both resilient and carpet products, according to a news release from the company.
INSTALL certified contractors are recognized throughout the construction industry as skilled and dependable flooring professionals.
BSI’s floor covering technicians recently completed a written evaluation followed by certified training at the Southeastern Wisconsin Carpenter’s Union. The BSI team are the first installers in the U.S. to be INSTALL certified by all manufacturers of floor preparation products.
INSTALL is an alliance of 120-plus floor covering mills, manufacturers, hundreds of contractors and thousands of installers working together to address the needs of the industry by standardizing effective installation training and certification across the U.S. and Canada.

Milwaukee-based Plunkett Raysich Architects has promoted five team members.
Justine Sieber is now a project specialist II.
Nicholas Puchacz was promoted to project specialist III.
Jason Puestow will become a partner on Jan. 1.
Mistie Rodberg was promoted to project specialist III.
Eric Schoedel was promoted to project manager.
Lippert completes name change
On July 1, Lippert Tile Co. officially changed its name to Lippert Flooring and Tile. The name change reflects the company’s broader flooring expertise, growing from its 1949 establishment as a small residential tile firm to its current role as commercial flooring design and installation experts familiar with all types of flooring materials.
In alignment with the new name, the company will launch a new website showcasing a new look and enhanced content.
