We’ve been through a lot in the past 22 months. That’s exactly (to the day) how long it’s been since The Daily Reporter held a live event. During those 22 months, much has changed. But for as much as the world has endured, the construction industry has remained one of the few constants. The fact that the industry was considered an essential business during the pandemic demonstrates the importance of the work being done every day.
And no where is that more evident than in the work being done by this year’s Women in Construction honorees.
The 46 women we celebrate this year are true champions. They are moms, wives, co-workers, company owners, pioneers and change agents. And many did it all while while being CEOs and CFOs of their families; the head of IT for their Zoom-bound children who were suddenly trying to learn from home; and a trusted psychologist for loved-ones who never experienced days like we’ve had in the past 22 months.
And they did it all while excelling in their careers and forging new pathways for women in a male-dominated industry.
We congratulate this year’s Women in Construction honorees and celebrate all they’ve done not only during the past 22 months and earlier — but what they’re also doing for the future of construction.
