Chris Young to headline CASE ‘Labor of Love’ concert

Racine-based CASE Construction Equipment will host “Labor of Love” 2016 on Sept. 5, featuring headliner and award-winning country music star Chris Young. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Team Rubicon, a disaster response organization comprised of more than 36,000 veterans and first responders, with the goal of helping the organization expand its skills training programs.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com/laboroflove. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and Young takes the stage at 2:30 p.m. at Racine’s Festival Park.

“We launched Labor of Love last year to build a bridge between job-seeking veterans and a critical shortage of qualified equipment operators and technicians,” said CASE’s Scott Harris, vice president-North America. “This year we’ve worked with Team Rubicon on their operator training program by providing equipment and support.”

Dane County executive hires diversity recruitment specialist

Dane County Executive Joe Parisi has added Carrie Braxton as the new diversity recruitment specialist in the Tamara Grigsby Office for Equity and Inclusion. The Tamara Grigsby Office for Equity and Inclusion, a part of Parisi’s Access to Opportunity initiative, coordinates the county’s efforts to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.

Braxton previously worked in the Dane County District Attorney’s office as the lead district attorney in the Criminal Traffic Unit.

Madisen Maher helps Pabst brew up new home

Pabst Brewing was founded in Milwaukee in 1844, and its new office will be a spot for team members to call home while conducting business in the city.

CORRE names Hove as director of structural services

Madison-based has named Bill Hove as its director of structural services. In his role, Hove will provide oversight and guidance on all of the firm’s structural projects and initiatives while continuing to serve WisDOT and CORRE’s Wisconsin clients.

He joined CORRE in 2011 to open and manage the firm’s Oconomowoc office. The Oconomowoc resident has more than 21 years of structural engineering experience.

Pingel has passed the WELL AP exam, an assessment based on the expertise of leading practitioners in the field of design, health and wellness in the built environment.

Miller joined Kahler Slater in 2014. AGC contributes to Summer Youth Employment Initiative

On July 28, the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee’s Education and Research Foundation donated $10,000 to support the Mayor’ s Earn & Learn Fund.

The Mayor’s Earn & Learn Fund is Milwaukee’s Summer Youth Employment Initiative. The program provides job readiness training to young people in Milwaukee, where they gain experience through the Community Work Experience component of the fund. The AGC’s contribution will sponsor five youth participants for an entire summer program.

Bliffert Lumber named a 2016 Future 50 Company

Co. has been named a 2016 Future 50 company by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s Council of Small Business Executives.

The Future 50 program, now in its 29th year, recognizes privately owned companies in the seven-county Milwaukee region that have been in business for at least three years and have shown significant revenue and employment growth.

Bliffert Lumber, which has expanded since 2004 from two lumber yards and 20 employees to eight locations and 150 employees today, is comprised of traditional industrial yards, new construction yards and a neighborhood hardware store.

The Future 50 companies will be honored at an awards luncheon on Sept. 23 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.

Tracy Farrell, corporate secretary and a member of the customer service team, has accepted the position of marketing and sales specialist at Waukesha-based Geo-Synthetics — a distributor, fabricator and installer of geosynthetic materials for a broad range of erosion control and containment applications.

Farrell has industry experience in customer service, administration and management of a union-based liner installation company. In her new role, she will focus on national and international marketing and sales objectives, as well as monitoring and managing company branding and digital presence.
