18 Wisconsin municipalities getting nearly $17M in grants for infrastructure

announced Monday that $17 million worth of grants is going to 18 Wisconsin municipalities Wisconsin for public works projects.

The Community Development Block Grant Public Facility grants will provide money for infrastructure projects in low- to moderate-income places with populations of 50,000 or fewer.

“From Blair to Woodville, these projects will help rebuild main streets, prevent flooding, and support family-sustaining jobs,” Evers said in a statement.

The places receiving money are:

  • The city of Blair is getting $1 million for street and utility improvements
  • The village of Bruce is getting $993,362 for water-system improvements
  • The village of Deer Park is getting $1 million for wastewater-treatment facilities
  • The village of Dickeyville is getting $626,000 for utility and street improvements
  • The village of Glen Flora is getting $1 million for wastewater-treatment and sewer projects
  • The city of Greenwood is getting $1 million for street and utility improvements
  • The city of Marion is getting $1 million for water and sewer improvements
  • The village of Mattoon is getting $938,538 for well and water improvements
  • The city of Mellen is getting $1 million for street and utility improvements
  • The city of Montreal is getting $1 million for water improvements
  • The city of Omro is getting $1 million for street and utility improvements
  • The village of Pulaski is getting $740,807 for street, water and sewer improvements
  • The village of Randolph is getting $1 million for street, water and sanitary-sewer improvements
  • The village of Readstown is getting $1 million for well and water-system improvements
  • The village of Tigerton is getting $1 million for wastewater-treatment improvements
  • The city of Wautoma is getting $1 million for street and water-system improvements
  • The town of Wiota is getting $665,000 for well and wellhouse installations
  • The village of Woodville is getting $1 million for street and sidewalk improvements
