Executive of the Year –
Jason Rieth, Miron Construction
Ever since he was a kid, Jason Rieth has been fascinated with how things are built and put together.
That led him to pursue a career in engineering that later morphed into construction. Today, Rieth is vice president of Energy and Environmental for Miron Construction. It’s a job that presents many challenges, but Rieth is always game to take them on.
“I love the challenge of the job, doing things that others may not believe can be done, and doing it alongside of a great team of people that I care about and who care about me,” he said.
A veteran in the industry with 26 years of experience, Rieth joined Miron in 2007 as a senior project manager and quickly moved up into the position of industrial project executive. In 2021, he was promoted to the newly created role of vice president, Energy and Environmental.
The division has seen tremendous growth under his leadership, and he continues to elevate the role and procure new clients and opportunities. Rieth leads by example and is always eager to lend a helping hand. He has taken a young and inexperienced team and grown them into leaders, both within the market and on a national scale.
“Jason is an outstanding leader in the industry, at Miron and, most importantly, to everyone who he comes in contact with,” said Tim Kippenhan, vice president and chief operating officer at Miron. “While he is a great employee, I’m even prouder to be able to call him a friend.”
Among the qualities that allow Rieth to thrive in his position are his strong values and trustworthiness. Colleagues say he is protective of his team and always has their back. While he takes the time to teach and help others be more effective in their roles, he is also coachable and willing to learn.
