SIGNIFICANCE OF PROJECT: The Trade Milwaukee hotel is to be built on a site once occupied by the Park East Highway. Local officials have long sought to have long set their sights on redeveloping the property, which sat vacant for years.

Those endeavors got going in a big way with the construction of the , where the play home games, and other buildings now making up the Deer District.

The Trade Milwaukee, a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, will have rooms specifically designed to meet the NBA’s standards for visiting teams. It will also have restaurants on its first and ninth floors, a commercial space on its first floor and an 8,700-square-foot event and meeting space on its second floor.
