BUILDING BLOCKS: Meta House gears up for $30M facility

PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE: With more than 60 years of service, Meta House will move its operations from Milwaukee‘s Riverwest neighborhood.
The nonprofit plans to build a 100,000-square-foot facility with three main buildings at 3901 Bluemound Road. The new headquarters will have an inpatient residence with beds for 100 women and their children, reception hub, outpatient treatment center and administrative offices.
Meta House‘s current location houses up to 35 women seeking treatment for substance use disorder, and the expanded facility will help the nonprofit meet demand for services, said Sarah Koehn, the director of operations for Meta House.
