An internationally recognized hub of innovation and research for engineering and life sciences, Exact Sciences worked with the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s University Research Park, Valerio Dewalt Train Associates, Potter Lawson Architects and J.H. Findorff to build a new headquarters for executives and research and development teams.
Exact Sciences is a Madison-based molecular diagnostics and global leader in early cancer detection that has seen incredible growth in the last few years and has remained committed to keeping Madison its home base. As a result of this growth and their increasing international presence, company executives sought a headquarters that would complement their corporate image while also drawing attention to all Wisconsin has to offer.
The design team came together to produce a modern building that will be a showcase project for the research park. The final design led to the construction of a five-story, curving enclosure that first flows into the campus’s “Link” space – a sort of commons, dining and lounge area – and then connects to the existing research and development building.
Exact Sciences’ commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees is exhibited by the healthy, local food provided onsite in the Link, as well as the fitness gym and fitness studios that are open to all Exact employees.
The building was LEED Silver certified in 2021.
