Top Projects of 2025: Norden Range Apartments

Norden Range Apartments is a $64 million master-planned residential community in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, developed by Moore Construction Services in partnership with architect Rinka. The large-scale development comprises six 24-unit garden-style buildings, six 18-unit garden-style buildings, six three-story townhome buildings, a clubhouse and auxiliary structures — 19 buildings turned over in planned sequence.

The project presented compounding challenges from the outset. Construction began before public roads were complete, requiring the team to place foundations early and coordinate closely with local authorities to sequence vertical work once roads and water lines were in place. An active turnover schedule demanded residents move in the day after each building was completed, while construction continued across the remainder of the site. Occupied and active construction zones operated simultaneously, requiring controlled access, separated work zones and elevated communication protocols.

The team capitalized on a favorable weather break in February 2024 to accelerate sequencing, ultimately delivering the entire project three months ahead of schedule. The community features resort-style amenities, Scandinavian-inspired architecture rooted in the heritage of the former Olympia Ski Hill, and direct access to the Lake Country Trail System. Prairie seeding, LED lighting and energy-efficient systems further reflect the project’s commitment to ecological responsibility and long-term community value.
