Hoffman submits low bid for portion of Highway 41 project

Co., Black River Falls, has submitted the low bid for a Highway 41 reconstruction project in .

Hoffman’s bid of $34,313,313.13 came in below Manitowoc-based Co.’s bid of $35,493,909.50. Other bidders for the project were Inc., Medford, $35,882,573.95; , Brownsville, $36,367,530.29; and Co., Waukesha, $36,641,963.20.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation project includes portions of U.S. Highway 41 in Winnebago County from Breezewood Lane in Neenah to State Highway 26 in Nekimi, as well as from State Highway 44 to Witzel Avenue in Oshkosh.

The project is part of WisDOT’s overall expansion and improvement of 31 miles of U.S. 41 in Brown and Winnebago counties. The project will include road expansion to accommodate increased traffic volume, 44 new roundabouts, improved interchanges and expansion of the Lake Butte des Morts Causeway.
