LOCATION: Caledonia Business Park, 3542 Nicholson Road, Franksville
SIZE: 80,000 square feet
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: Scherrer Construction Co., Inc., Burlington
ENGINEER: Excel Engineering, Fond du Lac
SIGNIFICANCE OF PROJECT: This is the first manufacturing operation built for Cultures Supporting Life, a pro-biotic company that is affiliated to the Wisconsin LLC ProBio RE and is the U.S. subsidiary of an Italian company.
The manufacturing plant will be used for the food, beverage and health and nutrition markets. It has offices, a lab and freezers that cool to negative 58 degrees. It also has clean-room process spaces for research, development, manufacturing and the distribution of probiotic strains intended for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food and agro-livestock industries.
