SFV Services will deliver Voodoo Brewing Co.’s first Wisconsin brewpub

Hendricks Commercial Properties on Monday announced that Pennsylvania-based Voodoo Brewing Co. will open its first Wisconsin location at The Grain, an ongoing mass timber development in Delafield.

The Grain, 705 Genessee Street, is a $25 million mixed-use development split into two four-story buildings, including 60,000 square feet of office space and 18,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. City of Delafield officials said this is the first mass timber project in Lake Country.

In 2022, Beloit-based Corporate Contractors Inc. broke ground on The Grain, and Oconomowoc-based architecture firm Johnson Design provided design services.

Voodoo Brewing Co., an employee-owned company with brewpubs across the U.S., will join six other tenants expected to open in 2024.

Michigan-based SFV Services will start tenant space construction in May and will wrap up in September, a spokesperson for the property manager said. Pittbsurgh, Penn.-based LGA Partners will complete design services for the 3,800-square-foot space.

The restauranteur will open a pub-style restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating in The Grain’s east building, according to property management officials.

In 2023, Brunch Delafield, Midwest Insurance Group, NONA Nutrition, RBC Wealth Management, Synthetaic and Velvent & Tulle Boutique signed on as tenants at The Grain.

The mass timber building with a construction technique that melds solid wood panels and beams, making a resilient and adaptable structure, officials said. The project will have 125 combined surface and underground parking stalls.

Voodoo Brewing Co. started in 2005 in Meadville, Penn. and opened its first taproom in 2012, according to the company’s webpage. The brewer opened more taprooms and a production facility since then, with locations in states such as Nevada, Ohio and South Carolina.

Diane Hendricks, Wisconsin billionaire and businesswoman, owns Hendricks Commercial Properties. The property manager oversees more than a dozen projects in Wisconsin, Indiana, Idaho and Florida.
