Daily Reporter honors Women in Construction

Listen to this articleOn Thursday, nearly 230 construction professionals attended The Daily Reporter’s inaugural Women in the Construction event at Marcus Performing Arts Center in downtown Milwaukee. The event was meant not only to honor women’s accomplishments in the industry but to encourage more women to consider construction as a career option.
The honorees on Thursday showed that women don’t just have to be willing to put on a hardhat and pick up a hammer to contribute — although that is certainly welcome. They also have a place in the industry as lawyers, marketers, communication specialists, executives, filling just about any role imaginable.
