THE BLUEPRINT:
A fire protection company started construction of a new facility in the Milwaukee area, which will bring two Wisconsin companies under one roof.
Indiana-based Ryan Fireprotection on Thursday broke ground on a new facility at 15775 W. Overland Dr., New Berlin.
Architect EUA applied for a 37,500-square-foot industrial building, city of New Berlin officials said. In January, the city Community Development Authority approved use, site and architecture permits, officials added.
The new facility will bring two long-standing companies, Design Build Fire Protection and Guetzke & Associates, under the Ryan Fireprotection name, company officials said.
Ryan Fireprotection CEO Dan Ryan and President Kevin Ryan were in attendance. Local Wisconsin leaders Sherry Carlson, Scott Beres and Mike Guetzke, and New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament joined the celebration also.
“We’ve always been a group that shows up, solves problems and keeps things moving,” said Sherry Carlson, vice president of operations. “This new chapter gives us more support behind the scenes, but what our customers experience day to day – that’s staying the same,” she added.
“Guetzke & Associates built its reputation by standing behind our work and taking care of our customers,” said Mike Guetzke, president of Guetzke & Associates. “Joining Ryan Fireprotection allows us to carry that legacy forward while providing even greater support and resources to the people and partners who have made our success possible,” he added.
“This will be a space where our people can thrive, our teams can collaborate and our customers can continue to count on the service they’ve always known,” said Dan Ryan. “We’re proud to invest in this region and excited for what’s head,” he added.
