MADISON, Wis. (AP) — U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu plans to tour a wind turbine manufacturer in Milwaukee and a biomass research center on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on Thursday.
According to the Department of Energy, Chu plans to join Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to tour Ingeteam’s expanded manufacturing facility. Chu plans to talk about extended clean energy tax credits.
Ingeteam received nearly $1.7 million in tax credits to build the new $21 million wind turbine manufacturing facility.
Chu also plans to visit the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center in Madison, which is doing work to develop biofuels as alternatives to foreign oil.
Is there more information about how many employees Ingeteam hired for the $1.7 million?
