Size: The eight-story building will house 158 rooms in its 134,300 square feet

Significance to the region: The project represents Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants’ entry into the Milwaukee market. The San Francisco-based hotel and restaurant company operates 58 hotels and 67 restaurants, bars and lounges in 24 cities.
Project challenges: The site logistics posed a challenge, as there was essentially no laydown area for staging materials.
