-based Tweet Garot Mechanical on Wednesday announced it acquired Traverse City, Michigan-based Temperature Control, a mechanical service and building automation provider.

This marks Tweet Garot’s expansion into lower Michigan and the firm plans to continue to grow throughout the state, the 127-year-old mechanical contractor’s officials said.

The acquisition closed on Oct. 31. Details of the deal weren’t shared.

, president of Temperature Control, and his son, Mike, will remain with the company during a transition period, officials said. Dan’s son, Patrick Law, is positioned to lead the lower Michigan team going forward, officials added.

“We are thrilled to partner with Dan Law and the great team he has built at Temperature Control,” said , president of Tweet Garot, in a statement. “Dan and his team have established a strong reputation in Michigan, and his leadership and technical expertise will be invaluable as we expand our presence there. We’re excited to launch our first lower Michigan operation and look forward to serving customers throughout the state.”
