The Boldt Co. has completed its new headquarters in Appleton. Dubbed the OneBoldt Center, the renovation of a two-story office building of a former insurance company will accommodate 200 workers and will feature sustainable building techniques.
Milwaukee-based architecture firm EUA and Boldt’s internal technical team initially planned the 44,000-square-foot project across 13 acres, company officials said. The renovation took six months and includes huddle rooms, hybrid work stations, a health and fitness center and natural lighting.
“This move solidifies our continued presence in the Appleton and greater Fox River Valley region as both a builder and a corporate citizen in the community,” Boldt President Dave Kievet said in a statement.
As part of Boldt’s push for future sustainability, the company upgraded to LED lighting throughout the building, installed an ionization purification system and refurbished office furnishings and fixtures instead of sending them to the landfill, officials said. A company team built a solar panel installation on the grounds, which is owned by We Energies.
The former headquarters on Roemer Road will remain open for its Northern Operations Group, which serves the greater Fox River Valley region and the company’s power and industrial operations group, officials said.
The company will host a ribbon cutting ceremony in the spring.
