Appleton-based Boldt on Tuesday announced it promoted Jonathan Ballmer to vice president and general manager of the company’s northern operations, including oversight of office and field operations for company offices in Appleton, Green Bay and Stevens Point.
Before promotion, Ballmer served as area manager for Boldt operations in Minnesota and worked as director of business development, officials said in a news release. He will be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment in the office and in the field.
“I am so honored for the opportunity to serve our team from Northeast Wisconsin, right where the company began its journey with Martin Boldt,” Ballmer said in a statement. “It’s a great place to be, and I look forward to joining the community,” he added.
Ballmer demonstrated the ability to create exceptional client experiences and has experience with projects from start to finish, officials said. Officials added he was known for an empathetic leadership style and reputation for understanding and addressing the needs of both clients and employees.
Ballmer was born and raised in southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio, officials said. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Boldt opened June with a parade of promotion announcements: First it named Dave Kievet as its president and chief executive officer of The Boldt Group. David Thomack will serve as president and Jeff Shipley will be the next chief operating officer. Finally, Ben Bruns and Melania Taylor were named new leaders of Boldt’s Modular business.
