Andy Hess is a principal and investment brokerage leader at Founders 3 Real Estate Services in Milwaukee, where he focuses on investment property sales, acquisitions and dispositions, and capital markets. He brings nearly 25 years of commercial real estate experience across most major U.S. markets and multiple property types.
Hess began his career in institutional investment real estate, spending 12 years in the investments group at Transwestern Investment, a principal investment firm specializing in commercial real estate, where he served as senior vice president. He subsequently co-founded Creekwood Real Estate and Resilire Real Estate Partners before joining Founders 3.
Throughout his career, Hess has directed property sales totaling more than $500 million in gross sales price, including over 800 properties in Wisconsin, and has been involved in the acquisition of more than 120 individual assets totaling $2.6 billion of gross investment. He oversaw a $250 million other real estate owned portfolio on behalf of a large Wisconsin bank, leading all disposition activity and directing portfolio and individual asset strategy. He has also advised on loan restructurings and investment recapitalizations in excess of $300 million, managed a commercial property portfolio totaling more than $1 billion of gross investment, led capital renovation and repositioning projects with construction costs exceeding $20 million and negotiated more than 300 leases representing over $250 million of contractual rent payments.
In 2021, he received the CARW Investment Deal of the Year for the $100 million sale of the Leonardo DRS Portfolio.
Hess holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he double-majored in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and Finance, Investments and Banking. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Wisconsin.
