Best Women Owned Businesses: Mindy Zinthefer

Mindy Zinthefer, owner of Arch Solar, is being recognized as a women-owned construction business award winner for her leadership and commitment to sustainability in Wisconsin’s clean energy sector.

Zinthefer has worked in the industry for 22 years and said her greatest accomplishment has been building Arch Solar from its beginnings on her family’s farm to a growing company while maintaining the culture that fueled its success.

“At our all-company meetings, I am always listening for stories about teaching and growth,” Zinthefer said. “When I hear about the successes of our newer team members, I know we are doing it right.”

Arch Solar’s mission is to educate, inspire and empower current and future generations to choose clean, sustainable energy. Zinthefer said her leadership is guided by honesty and respect for customers.

“Solar is still a new technology for many people, but if we educate while being respectful, we will achieve our mission,” she said.

Zinthefer also helps run Arch Sustainability, a sister company that produces maple syrup and other natural products from the family farm in Plymouth. The company supports the Plymouth Maple Festival and other sustainable initiatives across Wisconsin.
