C-Level Awards 2026: David G. Voss, Jr. | Executive Chairman, Miron Construction Co., Inc.

David G. Voss, Jr. has spent more than four decades helping shape one of Wisconsin’s most established construction firms. Now serving as executive chairman of Miron Construction Co., Inc., Voss transitioned from his role as president and CEO, a position he held from 1978 to 2024.

Founded in 1918, Miron provides construction management, design-build, general construction and industrial services and employs approximately 1,700 people.

Voss credits the company’s growth to the people behind it. “They are continuously seeking new ways to do things and be more productive and efficient,” he said. “As leaders, while it is critical that we provide support and direction, sometimes we also just have to step aside and let our team members run.”

Under his leadership, Miron developed a robust internship program designed to build its talent pipeline, and the company has diversified across multiple markets to navigate changing economic conditions.
His influence extends beyond the company. Voss has served as board chair of Rawhide Youth Services and held leadership roles with the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin and the United Way.
