C-Level Awards 2026: Kip Ritchie, CEO, Potawatomi Ventures

Kip Ritchie leads Potawatomi Ventures as CEO, overseeing a portfolio company supporting economic development and diversification for the Forest County Potawatomi. The Milwaukee-based organization has grown to 800 employees since its founding in 2002.

Ritchie brings decades of experience to the role. He previously served as chief operating officer of Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, president of Greenfire Management Services and senior vice president of Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, among other leadership positions dating to 1996.

Under his leadership, Potawatomi Ventures has launched fireside MARKET, a convenience retail concept featuring made-to-order meals, drive-thru service, EV charging and a hospitality-driven guest experience. The concept earned the C-store Decisions 2026 Best Store Design Award after opening its first southeastern Wisconsin location in Slinger in October 2025. The company also developed Data Holdings, a LEED Gold-certified Tier III+ data center — the only colocation facility in Wisconsin with that designation.

Ritchie serves on boards including Froedtert Hospital & Medical College Foundation, the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development and Gun Lake Investments.
